Jura, an authentic land



Morning arrival in Arbois, the capital of Jura wines. This vineyard was the first one classified AOC in May 1936.
Visit to the Vine museum in Château Pécauld which gives a complet background to the vineyards of Jura.

Lunch in Arbois.

Visit to the house of the famous scientist Louis Pasteur, the inventor of pasteurization and the vaccine against rabies.
Visit to a cheese farm in Poligny (AOC Côtes du Jura).

Finish the afternoon at Château-Chalon and its vineyards, famous for producing « Vin Jaune ».

Accommodation at the Golf-Hotel Val de Sorme***
Dinner and overnight in double room.


After breakfast, departure to Baume-les-Messieurs, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Visit to the 9th century roman style abbey.

Continue to Arlay and Château d’Arlay, a private castle built in the 18th century. Visit and wine tasting in the large cellar of the castle.

Today the vineyard covers 25 hectares. The rosé, red and white wines, the long-lasting yellow wine, the straw wine, Macvin – the old destemmed grape eau-de-vie and old brandy are above all sought out for their elegant colour, the finesse of their aromas and the complexity of their bouquet.
